Who's responsibility is it to change the child support amount?

My ex-wife and I had shared custody of our 3 children. she is paying me child support for her having the higher salary. 2 of our children now live with her and 1 lives with me full time. who's responsibility is it to change the child support amount? and once changed, is it retroactive to the date of the change in custody?

In this particular context changing the child support is a private matter between yourself and your spouse. It is not any one party's particular responsibility. The party with most to gain or to lose is usually the one who takes the initiative.

The request can be retroactive to the date of the change up to 3 years from date of the request.
