Answer: There is no automatic divorce. We need to obtain a Divorce Judgment from a Judge, on your behalf, granting a divorce. There are three grounds to obtain a divorce. They are adultery, cruelty and being separated for one year or more. This third ground is the “no fault” ground. We can obtain an “uncontested” divorce for you if you have been separated for one year or more. Please note that you can be separated while living together in the same home.
