Hi,
I just received a subpoena to appear in court to reduce child support from my ex husband. This subpoena was found strapped to my door where my mother in law found it. Is this even a legal way to deliver a subpoena? I thought it needed to be hand delivered.

Despite that there are special rules to make such a valid meaning, personal service is not always necessary and it is possible that your subpoena to be valid. By cons, we advise you to consult a lawyer to confirm its validity if you anticipate you do not comply or intend to challenge.
