So if a male spouse leaves canada and comes back after lets say 2-3 years, and does not file divorce papers here but has done back home. Within those years, does he have to pay child support from the moment he arrives or does he also have to pay what he's missed within those last 2-3 years?

If you are the parent with whom the child primarily resides, your spouse has an obligation to pay child support in accordance with the Child Support Guidelines. Leaving the country does not eliminate a party's child support obligation. You should speak to a lawyer about whether a claim for retroactive child support is appropriate in your specific situation.
