It is now 2 years that I have been separated. I went to see a lawyer to file for a divorce 6 months after being separated. He stated the everything should be finalized within a 9 month period... it is now 18 months later and I have still yet to receive a confirmation that this is finalized. Every time I follow up with him, there is a different story. Where can I check on the status of my separation agreement and check if what he is telling me is actually true? It is starting to seem like he took my money and didn't really do much about anything... please let me know what type of recourse I have. Thanks!
