Unequal Division of the Family Patrimony

Anonymous Asked:

How  do you argue unequal division of the family patrimony? How can you justify that items that are in the family home were receieved as gifts?( you needs receipts? emails? how do you prove what belongs to you should remain with you? How can you prove that the person you married, married you to con you in getting half when your other half didnt contribute anything? Marriage only lasted 8 weeks. Please advise.

Your questions are very pertinent but require case by case and item by item analysis to answer. I would urge you to communicate with a lawyer to settle these matters. Normally there would not be much to divide insofar as there is a limit to what can be accumulated within an 8 week period. If ever there were major purchases made during this period, an 8 week marriage is a clear candidate for unequal division of the family patrimony.
