I am worried about my childs visitation rights with my Ex

Anonymous Asked:

I have been granted sole custody of my child. I had divorced my ex-husband because I was gravely concerned for my own well-being and that of my child because of his indoctrinating cult belief system (that shall not be named for fear of potential legal persecution, which should give you a big hint). I know he is going to get a lot of counselling from his sect on how to get even more visitation rights to steal my child for his church. Please help me. I am terrified for the safety of my daughter. What should I do?

Your question is unfortunately too broad to answer with the few facts that you have provided. I would recommend you meet with an attorney to discuss the actual facts of the case, namely how your ex-spouse is treating your child, how your child is reacting to the current custody arrangement and what your ex-spouse is doing to get more visitation rights. There is no definite strategy when it comes to child access and custody, it all depends on the particular circumstances of the case and what is in the best interest of the child.
