my wife is in montreal and i am from mauritius. i do not work and since my wife got a job in montreal. she has started to deceive me and apply for a divorce. since i do not work in my country and she is working in montreal.Does she need to send me money for my monthly expenses?

Insofar as a spouse has the capacity to pay, there is an obligation during divorce proceedings to pay support to a spouse who is not financially autonomous. If your spouse refuses to help you voluntarily then you may petition the Courts to obtain spousal support.

Support post divorce is evaluated differently however, taking into consideration your capacity to earn revenue, the effects of the marriage on your capacity for gain, the role you played during the marriage and many other factors.
