My husband was removed from the home due to a court order and has not resided in the matrimonial home for a year. He has not contributed to any of the household expenses during the year. Will he be entitled to equal distribution of assets in a divorce or will consideration be given to the fact he has made no effort to contribute to any bills?

According to the Family Law Act, your assets are divided equally including the value of matrimonial home. You may seek a credit for payments you made without any contribution from him.
