I have been living common law for approx 18yrs, my husband is a drug addict and having an affair, am i entitled to spousal support and a portion of his rrsps life insurance and pension.

You may be entitled to spousal support depending on the differences in your incomes. Establishing a right to his assets is a little more diffuclt since there is no automatic entitlement to a division of property in common law marriages. You have to show that you contributed to the assets in some way - this is called a "trust" argument. You should consult with a lawyer to get advice.
