I have been asked for a divorce from my husband and I was wondering if I would be able to share the same lawyer during the divorce process as my husband or if I would need to find one.

If the only Court Order that needs to be obtained is a divorce then yes, it is technically possible for the two of you to share the same lawyer and commence a joint divorce. However, I strongly recommend against this decision as this lawyer will not provide you with legal advice in terms of what your other rights might be as against your husband, including with respect to property division, spousal support, and custody/access to any children with required child support.
