My wife and I had a mutual separation agreement drawn up between us last year. Today I received in the mail a new agreement from her Lawyer. In it they ask for my pension to be divided equally for the period of the marriage, before the separation which was 11 years. During that time I only worked at that job for the last 7 years of the marriage, and I will not get my pension for another 15 years. Is she entitled to this? Does she get the value of the pension now, or when I retire? What about her pension, am I entitled to some of it?

All assets and debts in the name of the parties are considered for the purposes of property division in Ontario. I suggest you consult with a lawyer in your area about the specifics of your case.
