Can i get the divorce without him?

I am married for more than 10 years and in the process of filing a divorce. But my husband doesn't want divorce and threatening to leave the country. When i told him about the divorce,he threatened me that he wont respond or co-operate and will tear all papers and leave the country. Can i get the divorce without him? I know, he wont co-operate no matter what.

If your husband does not respond, you can simply file an affidavit of service and obtain an uncontested divorce. However, if there are property and other issues, these may have to be dealt with as well. Also, if there are children, there may be child support obligations that a court will likely want to see dealt with before granting divorce. I urge you to seek the assistance of a family law lawyer to advise you based on more information required.
