Do I have to tell my ex he's being audio recorded?

For custody battle I would like to record my ex during his visits without his knowledge. Is this allowed or does he need to consent to me recording him?

It is strictly forbidden to record anyone without their consent if you are not present for the recording or part of the conversation. Recording in this case would be an invasion of privacy and sanctions could be brought against you for doing so.

If you consider your children to be in any kind of real danger I would recommend you bring this issue up with an attorney for proper counselling for your particular case.
