Separation agreement to survive divorce?

Separation agreement was in place. Filed for divorce ourselves uncontested. When filing For divorce, papers had a section where parts of separation agreement could be added to survive divorce? So if no parts were included, does that mean that no orders from SA survived the divorce are all null and void. I.e. Paying for others life insurance or medical/rentals benefits.

If your separation agreement was properly done then there will be a paragraph that states that the terms of the separation agreement will survive a divorce.
