Hi there,
I was wondering if I am pro se and my ex has a lawyer. Am I obligated legally to correspond back if it is absent of some statutory or court imposed obligation?

Posts which include some factual details usually result in more relevant answers. I would say that you are legally obligated to respond. There are statutory obligations in that child and spousal support shall be paid in certain circumstances, and property shall be divided. Communication is a factor relating to the outcome of custody and access issues. Instead of looking at it as a matter of obligation, perhaps you would want to resolve some of the issues to have certainty and understanding to the situation.
