My ex lost his lawyer – what happens next?

What happens when my x husband looses his lawyer because he cannot pay fees. Does this mean our case is let go, or does the judge decide? We have been apart since march. I would like to know what will happen .

If the other party’s attorney ceases to represent the case is technically suspended until a new attorney is hired or until the other party appears personally on file.

There are procedural steps that need to be taken to force the other party to appear personally or hire an attorney and get your file back on track towards a formal hearing.

If you do not have an attorney representing you I would recommend consulting one in order to assure your file does not remain suspended indefinitely.
