I am common law for 20 yrs. My ex has company and holding company, of which I own shares in both. Do I have any rights to the assets in the holding company? There is a property and a townhouse owned by the " holding co". He takes money from the one company and puts it in the holding company to be able to pay himself and me dividends, he income splits. Could I be asking for anything? Or will it be just the value of my shares? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks
