How do I divorce an American being a Canadian?

I moved to Texas and married the guy but after 2 years I moved back to Canada alone and I've been single over 3 years now. He is american, never lived in Canada and I am Canadian lived 2 years in USA. I never declared the marriage in Canada either. I asked for the divorce and he ignored me 1 full month after agreeing to. He moved and I got no other way to contact him but his phone. What are my rights? Do I still get half and half for this by law?

You can file for divorce in Canada as long as you have been living in a particular province for over a year, and this whether you registered the marriage in Canada or not.

However, if your ex-spouse has property to which you would be entitled to in case of divorce, either by virtue of Texas law or by virtue of a marriage contract, you will have to find him and/or his property to obtain your share and undertake procedures to render the Canadian divorce judgment enforceable in the other state or jurisdiction.
