If I am Canadian and my spouse is a Canadian Resident and we live in the States due to his work and I want a divorce, what is the likely hood of the divorce agreement being enforced with regards to child and spousal support? Can he be made to pay his side of things with him living in the states?

In order to apply for a divorce in BC, one of you must be resident in BC for at least the 1 full year preceding the commencement of the divorce proceeding. Generally speaking the courts here will enforce the terms of orders granted in other jurisdictions.
