Could I apply for divorce in BC?

Hi,
i have been in Quebec for 2 years, but just moved to BC 2 months ago. Could I apply for divorce in BC or i am just able to apply in Quebec? my partner disagrees with divorce and i don't know the exact address where he is living. what should i do now?thank you!

A: You must be resident in the Province in which you apply for a Divorce for at least the one year immediately preceding the filing of the claim for Divorce. Therefore you cannot apply for a Divorce in BC until 10 months from now (when you have been resident here for one full year).
