Can I get divorced and still keep my business?

I have been married for 8 years however i have a small business which has yet to make a dollar been spending and spending. However my partner has also invested approx $500.00 over 1 to 2 years in helping with this business, no other or minimum support was given otherwise. The business was registered in 2001 and revived in 2010.

I would like a divorce but feel entrapped because of the above mentioned...I am literally, emotionally, physically, spiritually and mentally drained as we been going back and forth for years hoping for change.

Can i legally get divorced or separated without any repercussions business wise?

Answer: You can get separated anytime that you wish. He does not have to agree. However, the date of separation then becomes the valuation date for your property rights. You are BOTH entitled to an equalization of net family property. All of BOTH of your debts and assets, as of the date of marriage and separation, will be taken into account.
