How do I divorce my husband before he moves to Canada?

I'm canadian and live here in montreal and my husband lives in another country. we were married in his country and he's been cheating on me while i'm doing his paper to come to canada. i want to stop this and get divorce, what do i have to do?

You can file for divorce here in Canada. You will need your marriage certificate and official translation if needed and serve your Spouse the appropriate paperwork. If you have been living separate for over a year and/or have never cohabitated, you should be able to obtain a divorce relatively quickly.
