To go for sole or not?

Posted in Children, Hamilton, Location, Ontario by Questions on October 15, 2013

My ex and I went through the court process back in May. We did everything through mediation and decided on joint custody and a lot of things in our agreement say “as mutually agreed”. Him and I cannot speak without yelling at each other. Yesterday he went as far as cursing at me while our 1.5 year old was in my arms. Should I ask the court for sole custody???? Him and I cannot make decisions and I want a concrete court order where we dot all our i’s and cross all our t’s. I don’t want to have to speak to him if I can help it.

THE PROPER WAY TO PROCEED IS TO GO TO COURT TO SEEK AN ORDER FOR SOLE CUSTODY; YOU MAY ALSO WANT TO CONSIDER A RESTRAINING ORDER OR NO-CONTACT ORDER.
